Graveyard - Week 4 - Saturday - Yato
Sep. 4th, 2017 01:22 am[It's late, most people have gone to bed, and the television has been flicked off for a while... Even this late into things though, Austria and Yato have still managed to keep their claim to their respective couches.
Austria idly plays with the pages of her book, not really being able to focus much on the pages even with her reading glasses.]

Week 5 - Graveyard - Sunday - Jacopo
Sep. 3rd, 2017 10:40 pm[Austria throws Jacopo inside, looking more than a little winded from the walk from the common room to her room. She takes a moment to catch her breath.

If you're reading this note then I must have been executed. How disappointing. I had truly wanted to find justice for Joshua's murder. It's more than a little egregious that things turned out this way. Although not unexpected.
I do have some things that you will be taking care of as well in my absence:
You will ensure that Dr. Geisler receives my piano after my execution. It's better that it is utilized and cared for rather than left to rot in disuse.
You will ensure that Herr Jacopo is allowed to use it as he pleases once a day as per our verbal binding agreement. The rest of the terms shall not be disclosed or the agreement is null and void.
Attached is also some sheet music titled 'Lacie' I've transcribed for Herr Vessalius which you will ensure is given to him. He has no one here who is aware of his preferences in music and he was particularly fond of this arrangement. He does not play himself so he will have to find someone else to play it for him you are not obligated to make those arrangements.
Under my bed you will find three coconut shell cups I attempted to carve designs into. I only finished two. You are to leave them with Frau Yona and Frau Jinah. You will not ask them what they are for. You will not follow either of them to find out what they are for.
You may have my hair brush. Use itoften. every day. You fool. You're welcome.
I would like to specifically note that none of these things mean that I had any particular feelings one way or the other for anyone here. I don't want you misconstruing anything in my absence. It's important that people are able to proceed about their lives as normally as possible.
Please give my regards to my bosses and inform them of my demise whilst abroad. I regret there is quite a bit of work I had neglected to finish. I assumed I would have infinitely more time given what we are and what we have been for centuries. Hopefully, Germany will not be overly put out by picking up my extra slack until something suitable can be arranged in my absence. I'm sure once the novelty of the situation wears off, my people will ultimately be fine and proceed as normal.

Ultimately my demise by your hand was likely not as 'awesome' as you have probably dreamed it would be. However, I tried to oblige a previous request of yours in my final moments. I suppose it was the least I could do after you made an effort to stay with me when I was most desolate.Even though I had specifically requested that I be left alone.
Again. I am. . . . apologetic that I made you incapable of keeping your word. If we both die, I will be most cross with you for eternity so do make it back home so that you may get my affairs in order.

Part of it was curiosity as to whether or not it would count as breaking a rule. Part of it was because I was unconvinced of Herr Yato's guilt and didn't want to be complicit in his framing.

She can’t assume that there will be any privacy in her hut at the moment and Austria would rather not limit her ability to converse with Joshua’s personal itinerary. As much as she hates the ocean, she’ll eventually start making her way to a secluded spot on the beach for some privacy with Prussia.]

The last thing you must have wanted was someone laying down their life in order to protect you. Forgive me for causing you that pain again.
However, it wasn't just about wanting to protect those forced to kill from killing or protecting the mastermind.
There's nothing dangerous about being labeled dispensable in this house. I'm sure that I probably could have made it to the end of things quite comfortably if I didn't stir the pot. But I didn't want to stand idly by as the game continued. I didn't want to sit by and be helpless any longer.
I have no understanding of what a nation really is or what exactly I was supposed to do in the event I got home, but I knew that there were people here who deserved a better life than this. I did something terrible by ending Spain's life and I don't expect to be forgiven for it-- but I didn't want anymore lives to end in vain as the game rolled on.
Follow your heart, believe in yourself, trust in your friends and do what you think needs to be done with your head held high.

I don't expect you to agree with what I've done or to like that I acted on your behalf.
However there's no changing what I've done now so you might as well make the best of it.
The fact that you're listed as dead weight is because they view you as a threat. You're talented and clever
and in the face of oppression you stand tall and resolute. They fear you and the things you can accomplish alive.
They want to be rid of you because you are the kind of person who alongside everyone else can end the game.
Crush our enemy under your heel. Trust in the friendships you have made here and believe in them.
Show the producers no mercy for the lives they have destroyed here and the pain they have caused the living.

I've never been the easiest person to deal with. Worse so when it comes to telling me things I don't want to hear.
I appreciate your persistence and how you were always looking out for my best interests.
Herr Apollo doesn't know what he's talking about. You're one of the most caring individuals I've ever known.
It's obvious to me that your people are very fortunate to have someone like yourself looking out for them.
Please don't blame yourself for any of my choices. I'd already decided what I thought needed to be done.
I'm sure you wouldn't have been able to talk me out of it anyway given how stubborn you knew me to be.
